James 5:14 Is anyone among you sick?…

So, continuing with the story, it is now March, 2012. Jason and Caleb and I take a long road trip out to California to spend Easter and a few months with Jason’s family. I am so excited because we LOVE our church family in Cali. We found it here when we were still living in California before God called us to be parents and moved us back to Aurora. And we love it. The teaching is great, the worship is fantastic and we really feel loved and supported by the Pastors, Dave and Michelle White. Thanks www.Newsong.cc for being such a rock in our lives these past few years!

Anyhow, that was a slight homage to them, but they do play a pivotal role at this point in the journey. I asked if I could go for prayer with Dave, Michelle and Richard, Michelle’s father. Because James 5:14 is very clear:

14 Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.

The three of them are being used in amazing ways by God to bring freedom, healing and deliverance to many. So, I, seeking God so much, just know that breakthrough will come at this meeting. It was a few hours long and fantastic but the key thing that came out was God spoke very clearly to Richard that there is scar tissue around my uterus and He gave me a strategy in the spiritual to pray over myself.

Also, one evening when I was lying in my bed trying to sleep, God said that I had some forgiveness to do of the nurses and doctors and midwife that acted to save my life while I was bleeding out after Caleb’s birth. I had felt extremely abused by them and that they had been overly aggressive on my body when they were trying to stop the bleeding. Understandably, but still I felt emotionally wounded by it and I was worried that they had damaged me in some irreparable way I wouldn’t be able to have more kids.

I remembered Matthew 18:21-35, the story of the unforgiving servant. I urge you all to read it, but here is a short part:

32 Then his master, after he had called him, said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you begged me. 33 Should you not also have had compassion on your fellow servant, just as I had pity on you? ’ 34 And his master was angry, and delivered him to the torturers until he should pay all that was due to him.

35 “ So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses.”

It is so important that we forgive others because if we do not, we place ourselves in prison. It is our choice whether or not we suffer in pain and bondage, and all it takes to get free is forgive and trust in Him to forgive us.

Matthew 6:14 “ For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

The amazing thing that happened was, the next month, when we were back home in Canada, my period came and for once in over 18 months I had NO PAIN. The period was still heavy, but no pain. I was overjoyed. I had been healed because He loves me so much and because I chose to forgive.

And yet, God still has so much more in store.

I am hoping you are all enjoying reading about our journey.  If so, please feel free to comment as I would love to hear from you all.
